Hi! I'm Kelley
I'm a self-employed artist in Minneapolis, MN. I work from home with my bulldog Murphy by my side.
I'm also an online instructor on Skillshare, sharing my passion for collage, digital art, and animation.
I firmly believe that everyone has an artist
within them. I love sparking people's creativity, and cheering them along as they achieve things they never thought possible.
I'm a lifelong learner. I have an ever-growing list of Skillshare classes I want to take, and big stacks of nonfiction books all over my home. In another lifetime, I was a store manager at Barnes & Noble Booksellers.
I'm open to exploring new opportunities. Reach out if you'd like to connect or work with me. And feel free to reach out with questions or just to say hi.
"To practice any art, no matter how
well or how badly, is a way to make
your soul grow. So do it."
- Kurt Vonnegut
"Every artist was once an amateur."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
My first Concert
Prince! Purple Rain tour. I was 14.
Yes, I'm that cool and I'm that old.
I chopped my long denim skirt into
a mini-skirt and away I went. I cried
the day Prince died.
I started my first business in 2013,
Gems by Kelley. In 2015, I quit my corporate job of 20 years to pursue self-employment as a creative. I've been happily self-employed ever since.
